Every home starts with a strong foundation, and a community coming together to make it possible. Join Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity as we raise the first walls of a new home in Wapato and celebrate the partners, volunteers, and neighbors helping move this work forward. Monday, April 27th at 3:00 PM 104 French Lane, Wapato This Wall Raising marks the start of construction and is a chance to experience the impact of this work up close. It is also an opportunity to connect with others who are invested in creating more homeownership opportunities across Yakima County. Light refreshments will be provided. Saddle Up for the 2026 Hoedown for Housing
Dust off your boots and mark your calendar for Yakima Habitat’s Hoedown for Housing, a lively night of community, creativity, and purpose. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Forenpohar Ranch An evening filled with great company, spirited bidding, and plenty of western flair, all in support of building homes, community, and hope across the Yakima Valley. A fan favorite every year, our Upcycled Art Auction returns, bringing the Home on the Range theme to life through creativity, craftsmanship, and a little western flair. Local artists transform reclaimed materials into one of a kind pieces that celebrate home, place, and possibility. Businesses and community partners, this is your moment. She Nailed It! Playhouse Reveal
Join us at the Habitat Store to celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of Women Build 2026! Over the course of Women Build week, local teams came together to design and build custom playhouses in support of Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity. At the She Nailed It! Playhouse Reveal, the community is invited to see the finished playhouses up close, meet some of the teams who built them, and celebrate the incredible community spirit behind this project. Each playhouse will be available for purchase through the Habitat Store, with proceeds supporting Yakima Habitat’s work to build homes, community, and hope across Yakima County. Whether you are curious to see the designs, interested in purchasing a playhouse, or simply want to celebrate the teams who made it all possible, we would love to see you there! Home Sweet Home
Christmas Celebration Tuesday, December 9 | 4:00–7:00 PM Habitat Store, 21 W. Mead Ave., Yakima Join Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity for a festive evening of fun at our Home Sweet Home Christmas Celebration! Bring your family and friends to enjoy holiday cheer, creative activities, and entertainment for all ages. Highlights include photos with Santa, lighted Christmas trucks, contests, and plenty of surprises to keep the spirit bright. Suggested donations are $5 per person or $20 for a family of six, offering an affordable and joyful way to kick off the holiday season together. All proceeds support Habitat’s mission to build homes, community, and hope throughout the Yakima Valley. |
