Together,
we build peace of mind.

Critical Repair Program

Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity’s Critical Repair Program provides essential home repairs that help participants remain safely in their homes. This program focuses on addressing health, safety, and accessibility concerns that, if left unresolved, could compromise quality of life or lead to displacement.

We work closely with participants to ensure repairs are affordable, sustainable, and tailored to their needs. From fixing leaky roofs and faulty plumbing to adding accessibility ramps or addressing safety hazards, our team and volunteers provide the expertise, tools, and resources needed to restore stability and peace of mind.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a need for repairs, meet income guidelines, and be willing to partner with Habitat by contributing sweat equity. Sweat equity may include assisting with their own repair project, helping on other Habitat worksites, or volunteering in other ways. This shared investment helps keep costs down while building a stronger connection to the community.
