"Before"                         Construction                      Dedication

The Rotary Club of Yakima, Sunrise Rotary, Rotary Club of Yakima Southwest teamed up for another side by side build.  814 & 816 South 8th St. (on the corner of 8th St. & Pacific Ave.) are evidence of their hard work!

"Before"

As you can see in the photograph, one lot had nothing but weeds and garbage, while the other boasted an old cinder-block home.

The house was knocked down the second week of March.

Construction

The footings and foundation for the houses were completed in late March, with the help of some students from Seattle University who came to work during their Spring Break.  Thanks guys!!!

The walls were lifted into place during the week of April 4th.

St. Matthew Lutheran Church came to lend a hand (or 60) during the week of April 25-29.  This group has been coming to Yakima for 18 years running and always leaves a legacy behind!

The two houses are completely sided and awaiting paint.

The workcampers from St. Therese Catholic, Seattle, help with the final project- laying the sod for the Rotary Houses.
