Five committees assist the Board of Directors in the affairs of the Affiliate.
Budget & Finance - Develops and monitors the budget as well as holds the
responsibility of the monthly presentation to the Board of Directors. They also monitor and report the Affiliate's contractual obligations.
Building Committee - Monitors the construction standards of Habitat houses so that they comply
with Habitat for Humanity International's standards. It continually seeks
to improve the efficiency of the construction process.
Outreach & Fundraising - Develops strategies and implements them for adequate funding for Habitat
work and keeps the community aware of this work. It maintains a database
of donors, oversees grant writing, and develops releases, and up-dates
resource information for various groups, particularly the media.
Families Committee - Establishes criteria for family selection and implements the process,
determines the duties of mentors for newly selected families, assigns and
provides support for the mentors, develops a curriculum for home-ownership
classes, and reviews sweat equity hours.
Human Resources Committee - Develops and reviews all policies and procedures dealing with personnel,
both staff and volunteers. It conducts yearly evaluations of staff, staff
compensation and benefits, and presents that to the Board. It recommends
membership to the Affiliate Board and trains new Board members.
