Thrivent Builds 2008!

Thrivent for Lutherans and Lutheran churches of the Yakima Valley are sponsoring a home in Granger. This will be the third home sponsored by Thrivent over the past 3 years.  This year’s home is at 312 E 3rd Street in Granger. The partner family is Miguel and Vilgai Diaz. The Diaz’ have exceeded 700 hours of sweat equity.

To date more than 400 volunteers have participated in building the home. The volunteers represent several of the Lutheran churches in the Valley from Selah to Sunnyside. In addition Lutheran groups from Beaverton, Oregon and the Seattle area have participated.

Thrivent for Lutherans and the local Lutheran churches are providing financial support  the project which will include sufficient monies to fund the building of two Habitat houses in El Salvador.
